Ten years ago the countries that belong to the United Nations adopted eight goals in order to achieve the reduction of global poverty and hunger by year 2015. This last September all this nations had a submit in New York where the United Nations headquarters are in order to review this goals. Since there are five years left it seems that they will have to redouble their efforts in order to accomplish the goals. With the financial crises around the world it is very difficult for the richest countries to donate 0.7% of the gross national income. Also richest countries have to allow the poor countries to develop their economies in order to be competitive. My prediction is that it will be very difficult consider the circumstances to achieve all the goals by year 2015.

1. There has been some progress like in China, India, Peru, Chile and Panama where poverty has fallen because of the economic growth.
2. First they have to use the aid very effectively and donor nations have to be strong in developing countries with the corruption and to promote strong legislation in order to have a good government.
A modern day issue that has been and will always be happening in the world is poverty. Ten years ago the United Nations came up with a plan to reduce poverty, establishing 8 goals that by the year of 2015 might cause a huge impact. The past month the UN has been looking ate their progress, and it shows that it will most probably reach their goal. I think it is great that the world is doing something about poverty since it is something so painful and it is very sad to se the world fall in poverty. The UN should be helping the people that can work find a descent job. Public school should be more accessible to for the education of kids, and the old retired people suffering poverty should get the help they need. I don’t think they should take away the money of the wealthy families because although the people suffering poverty need that money, it is unfair to take away the money of someone who is working hard for what they have. Also, what if the extra taxing that people are paying is no going for the needed ones and the government is splurging it? They are taking away the money of the people that have worked hard for it and its not even helping the ones that truly need it. The world should come together to make world wide car washes, selling t shirts, and other fun activities to help the people that are starving because of their economical issues.
People are trying to end the world poverty by 2015. They are getting to the goal, but they have many obstacles. Some people in rich countries just care about their projects and not helping the poor. I think that what people are doing is very good, and even if they do not reach the goal hey would have helped the world a lot. Also, I think the rich countries should give some of their money to the poor countries, since they don’t have anything and anything that they want to give them helps. Will they reach the target by 2015? Are the rich countries going to give some of their money to the poor? I think that with the help of every country they can reach this goal of reducing poverty and hunger around the world.

2. I think that to reach this goal all of the countries of he world who have the resources must give at least a little bit of what they have to a good cause. If everybody contributes they will definitely reach the goal.

This article talks about the poverty around the world. People think that poverty is going to end by 2015. Ten years ago the United Nations expected that poverty will decrease by establishing 8 goals.
I think this goal should be still going on because we have to help peoples with poverty.

The past month the UN has been looking what is their progress and their seeing a big progress in their 8 goals. The goals where said 10 years ago and 5 more years they have to accomplish their goals.
What about if they only reached 4 goals?
Does the rich countries are going to contribute with the poor ones?
What would happen if they don’t rich any goal? Does this failure could make trouble around the world?
1. We could tell that by statistics the difference from 2005 to 2010 it has been a remarqueble change on the poor people around the world.
2. Maybe if countries how’s economies are going good could donate with the rich countries we could get a bigger donation to get a bigger result.
Today’s blog talks about poverty, hunger, people not being educated etc. The un is making a lot of ideas to help the world but the reason of failure is that the richest states has failed to pay the commitment of 0.7 of gross to national income. I think this is really sad because first the world is not only from China for example it is from all the states and all those little islands in it and even thought the richest countries are not helping other countries. And I think they should help other countries because that means that we help the world too. I hope that we can stop this because it is really sad to see the people on those conditions. One of my questions is: are they making all the goals at the same time? Do they have backup plans?
